Standard Terms and Conditions
Service
The provision of candidates for contract, fixed term contract or permanent positions, Search, selection and presentation of candidates, assisting the clients recruitment process, negotiation and reference checking as required by clients.

Permanent Placements
Candidate Income over $70,000 PA | 17% of 1st year income |
Candidate Income under $70,000 PA | 14% of 1st year income |
EMPLOYERS - lodge your vacancy with NZ Opportunities and receive a 20% discount on the above fees.
In the case of packages with an OTE or Bonus component the fee is calculated on 100% of base salary plus 50% of bonus or OTE over base component.
Recruitment fees are chargeable when a candidate commences work and are due within 7 days of that date. Any agreed charges for specific advertising are due within 7 days of invoice date.
Contract hourly rates are competitive and negotiable depending on the expertise of the contractor and the term of the contract. Invoicing is on a monthly basis and due within 14 days of invoice date.
Guarantee
If a candidate resigns from a client’s permanent employment within three months of appointment, a suitable replacement shall be provided free of charge. A refund will only be considered if a suitable replacement is not available within three months. This Guarantee is contingent upon fees being paid by due date.
Conditions
Any candidate represented to a client remains a candidate of NZ Opportunities for six months and should he/she be appointed our normal fee shall apply.
Reference Checks
Curriculum Vitae are presented to clients in strictest confidence and no reference checks should be made without the prior consent of NZ Opportunities and/or the candidate.
Offers of Permanent Employment to Contractors
Should a NZ Opportunities contractor be offered permanent employment at the completion of a contract period then the following scale of fees shall apply:
- Appointment to a permanent position at the completion of a three (3) month contract period shall attract an appointment fee of 75% of the permanent placement rate according to our Standard Terms of Business.
- Appointment to a permanent position at the completion of a six (6) month contract period or any time thereafter shall attract an appointment fee of 50% of the permanent placement rate according to our Standard Terms of Business.
A contract period shall be deemed as the continuous period of contract employment leading up to the offer of permanent employment.

All fees stated are exclusive of GST.
