Information Technology

Each year New Zealand creates some 5000 new digital jobs, training entities only produce 3000 graduates, with  the shortfall made up from 4000 to 5000 Information Technology professionals immigrating to New Zealand over the last 5 years (prior to covid).

In August 2021 the industry estimated there were 8000 to 10,000 vacant roles in information technology.

The local IT labour market is characterised by a limited number of skilled candidates, increased staff turnover and subsequent salary increases.

New Zealand Opportunities/Sabre, have specialised in recruiting skilled IT staff offshore and bringing them and their families to New Zealand to settle for over 35 years.

New Zealand Opportunities has concentrated on skilled technology areas and have recruited for both end clients and extensively for the consultancy market where skilled and experienced resources are in deeper short supply.

We have recruited extensively worldwide in vertical technology areas and have often been called in to solve project resourcing challenges.
